This assignment is for Adam. When you are done working on the trees, you should start handing everything over to Hunter. Try to get Hunter's character work so far and use that as a starting point. Consolidate that with your work and we'll start to flesh out David. Using the hair and paint styles that I selected from your previous post, come up with some ideas using these as guidelines:
1. David is around 12 years old.
2. He is somewhat scrawny--not exactly built for the journey ahead of him.
3. Keep it stylized. We know that it's cold up there, but we can't cover his face, and we should show as much of his slender upper half as possible. So really try to Disney this thing. The last drawings of Hunter's I saw were going in the right direction with stubbier legs and longer arms. Most of the weight was in his wrists and hands and his head was not life-like in proportion, in fact larger, which balanced out his weight at the bottom.
4. He has a spear.
We're going to need David in two forms. In addition to the one described above, we will need another version of him where he is wearing heavier clothing. We're playing with an idea that starts with him fully clothed, but it's not fleshed out, so this should be second priority.
